Massive itching and bald patches on the abdomen between the thighs

Angelina Stier works as a veterinary assistant. Her two-year-old male dog Eik, a beautiful Flat Coated Retriever, suffered from severe itching and was bald on his belly and between his thighs. His poop wasn’t always pretty, “you could never pick it up.” And every few weeks Eik got diarrhea that was so bad that Angelina had to take him out several times at night. Eik’s siblings are all significantly heavier and taller. Angelina therefore suspects that Eik was unable to absorb enough nutrients during the growth phase due to the intolerances. This is also supported by the change in the volume and quantity of feces. Eik used to have 4-5 bowel movements a day, now only 1-2 and the stools are firmer and less frequent. “The nutrients now seem to be going into the body and not coming out the back.” Overall, Eik has undergone a massive improvement as a result of the change in feed. “It will be a while before the hair is completely back, but the whole digestive improvement has given me a lot of relief. Eik is happier and much more efficient and resilient. That’s great now, I’m thrilled.”

As long as Angelina sticks strictly to the food recommendations, everything goes well, but if, for example, the chews include a beef ear that is not natural, Eik feels worse again. “If it doesn’t say natural, I don’t know how the chews have been treated and Eik usually reacts immediately to anything that isn’t natural. That’s why I pay close attention to everything I buy and feed Eik.
