Skin reactions and gastrointestinal symptoms – Dr. Markus Gollmann
Skin reactions, gastrointestinal problems and underweight
I had the Cytolisa® test done due to acute skin reactions that first occurred at the end of 2013. I had also had gastrointestinal symptoms since childhood and had been struggling with being underweight for a long time (but this was not the reason I turned to Cyto).
The result of the Cytolisa® test had and still has far-reaching effects on my eating behavior. In the short term, I eliminated all foods from my diet to which I had reacted in the test. In the long term, I am now more conscious about my diet. Even after the 3 months of counseling I continued to follow the test results and stick to the dietary suggestions.
Advice is important
I regularly took advantage of the nutritional advice offered by the Cyto® program. In my view, it is absolutely essential for the success of the dietary change. Even after the first 12 weeks, I still used 2 or 3 consultations at intervals of 1 to 2 months. They have helped me to stick with it in the long term and deepen the implementation of the recommendations.
I am very satisfied with the advice I received from Cyto Labor. All 4 employees who took turns advising me had good to very good expertise – whereby this expertise was not only focused on concrete implementation proposals, but also included the psyche, which in my opinion is very important, if not decisive, for success. I found the fact that I had to deal with different consultants during my time with the Cyto Lab to be an advantage, because each consultant had their own focus.
My state of health has improved significantly
Since the Cytolisa® test and the subsequent change in diet, my state of health has improved significantly. The severe skin reactions that occurred at the end of 2013 healed continuously over the course of 2014 (apart from minor relapses). In January and February of that year I was completely symptom-free, between March and May there were two minor episodes, which were mainly triggered by work-related stress (medical on-call duty with working until midnight and night-time disturbances). This experience prompted me to reduce my medical services for 2016 from around 125 to 80 on the one hand and, on the other, to consistently continue the change in diet and behavior and to research other causes at all levels.
With regard to the skin complaints, I would like to add that they started about 6 weeks after a double inguinal hernia operation in which a mesh was inserted and 18 titanium clips were attached. On December 1, 2014, I had the titanium clips removed again in a four-hour operation.
Better sleep and generally fitter, less hay fever
In addition to the skin reactions, my condition has also improved in other respects: I now tend to sleep better, I get a good night’s sleep earlier in the morning and generally feel fitter. My weight (at a height of 175 cm) has risen from a previous 54-55 kg to just under 58 kg since May 2014 (my goal is a constant 60-62 kg). My hay fever also seems to be less pronounced this year. Although it started as early as ever, it is much weaker and more bearable overall.
Finally, my gastrointestinal problems, which have accompanied me since childhood, have also improved. However, after more than 50 years of damage to the gastrointestinal tract, I expect a full recovery to take 1 year or longer. This will probably also require further measures – such as daily linseed gruel, microflora, Ayurveda, family constellations and other spiritual methods.
I now have more food on my menu than before
Overall, I can say that the Cyto® program has profoundly changed my diet. Paradoxically, the range of foods I eat has expanded, despite the elimination of around 90 foods to avoid! In my search for alternatives, I discovered some new things.
However, there are clear restrictions when eating out: I only like Asian food (preferably Indian, because of the fine spices and glutamate-free cooking). For invitations or seminars, I sometimes take my own food with me, or the host or seminar kitchen will cater to my wishes. When I go for a latte macchiato 1-2 times a week, I take my own rice or spelt milk with me (which has always worked except for 2 occasions).
I have also introduced a completely different eating rhythm: Breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m. (before that often only around noon); lunch between noon and 2 p.m. (giving up the almost daily latte macchiato with the occasional sweet treat); dinner between 6 and 8 p.m.
I still find it difficult to avoid eating later, especially when I’m on duty. However, around 10 p.m. to midnight it is no longer a complete, large evening meal as before, but rather something smaller such as rice/spelt milk and cornflakes or rice/corn waffles with honey, Xälz (Swabian for jam) or macadamia chocolate cream. Over the next 4 weeks, when I’m not on duty, my aim is to avoid these extra evening meals and go to bed around 10pm if possible.
I eat more consciously now
In summary, the Cyto® program has profoundly changed my diet and eating habits: I now eat even more consciously than before. Before that, I bless my food for about 1 minute and increasingly skip reading or watching TV.
Ultimately, I am grateful to my body for showing me through the clearly visible skin changes that it no longer wants to be burdened with incompatible foods. Furthermore, I have dealt with the issues behind the symptoms in many different ways – even going back to previous lives – which has helped me a lot.
After all, I now find it much easier to give up a pleasure that only lasts a few minutes – if at all – rather than risk discomfort (itching at night, skin changes that last for weeks, etc.).
