Soul food poppy seed tart
This recipe was provided to us by Lorén Birgit Rosenbaum from www.seelen-futter.de. Thank you very much for this.
Quantity | Ingredients |
---|---|
150 g | Hazelnuts |
5-6 pieces | Figs |
30 g | Currants |
approx. 100 g | popped amaranth |
70 g | Macadamia nuts |
150 g | Steam poppy |
50 ml | Agave syrup |
1 | Orange |
1/2 TSP | Vanilla |
120 g | Coconut oil, liquefied |
I always take an 18 cm mold and press the mixture for the into the ground:
Hazelnuts grated, but not too fine
Figs soaked in a little water. Puree together with the soaking water
° sometimes for the taste still Kraanbeeren
popped amaranth (from the “dm” or organic food store) to absorb the moisture and not have too many nuts in it
The mixture should hold together well and be pressed onto the bottom of the mold
For the Filling I’ll take that:
macadamia nuts soaked overnight, drained and pureed
soaked cashew nuts or Brazil nuts also work well
Steam poppy seeds (from the health food store)
Agave syrup (you have to taste it, I don’t make it that sweet)
1/2 orange – squeezed
° grated orange peel
Vanilla
° Good coconut oil liquefies
Process everything in a blender to a sticky mass , season well,
Then spread on the base and put in the fridge! Garnish before serving and then Bon appétit!
