Chickpea spread, also known as humus
Puree 1 jar of chickpeas, 1 spoon of salt, 3 cloves of garlic pressed and fried in oil, 2 spoons of tahini (sesame butter), the juice of 1 lemon and 3 spoons of olive oil in a food processor with a rotating blade.
This makes a very fine spread or dip for vegetable sticks.
Here we eat it with rice, carrot and beet crudités and fried tofu for lunch.
